Does The Bible Predict Our Future?

Wars, Nuclear Threat, the Economy, a Global Pandemic, Famine, Terrorism around the world and other critical issues we face everyday - are they really found in the pages of the Bible?

The following article reveals the facts!

What does the future hold? This may surprise you, but specific information about the near future is clearly presented in the Bible.

How can I make such a statement?

This world is rapidly changing at an unbelievable, breakneck speed. Every single day we see astonishing advances in science and technology. Amazing breakthroughs in these areas are almost unimaginable. Much of this technological progress, such as the Internet, has helped improve our lives in many ways.

Yet, still, the world is facing many problems like we have never encountered before. On the surface everything may even seem to be improving, but as we look at the larger picture we see a disturbing trend forming. It's hard to ignore frightening problems:

  • Wars are being fought around the globe and old conflicts continue to intensify on in many parts of the world. The threat of new conflicts and war is constantly the hot topic on the news. Fear has escalated globally; peace seems to be an unattainable goal. Speculation about Nuclear War and World War 3 is rampant.
  • The world faces increasing economic uncertainty as inflation spirals out of control threatening individuals ability to afford essentials like food or to provide for their family.
  • Outbreaks of disease, pestilences, and plague are increasing every day. Scientist and doctors are simply unable to keep up with new strains and mutations of today's diseases. A worldwide pandemic has permanently altered the world in alarming ways.
  • Global pollution, climate change warnings, uncertain weather patterns, and natural disasters leave us with an uneasy feeling, unsure what to expect next. Increasingly frequent earthquakes are shaking our very foundation around the world on a daily basis.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

So many things are happening in our world today, unfortunately, I could go on and on. The bottom line is that all of this creates uncertainty about the future.

What would you say if I told you that all of the problems listed above were predicted in the Bible thousands of years ago. You may wonder why this is even relevant and I'm guessing you would probably say, 'Prove It!'

Ok, I will. Be sure to stay tuned for the truth and proof in this, and future issues of Living In Epic Times, as we explore what the Bible says about our future.

With our future unclear, fear seems to be the order of the day. Most leaders from around the worldpolitical, religious or otherwiseagree if something is not done soon, humankind may be headed for disaster.

It would seem that the world is spiraling out of control. I'm here to tell you this is absolutely not the case!

God has a plan.

Stunning End Time Truth!

Does the Bible speak to today's generation and the problems we face in the real world? In light of the wars around the world and the rising threat of terrorist attacks, can the Bible give us hope for the future?

You need to know the answer to these questions to fully understand what the Bible says about your future!

If you're like so many others, you're trying to make sense of all the terrible things that are happening in the world. You may have even tried finding answers through therapist, psychics - or even 'religion' - but most likely all have left you disappointed and even more confused.

You don't have to be.

We can be secure in our future knowing that it is all under God's control. It's all in His plan. Nothing can happen unless he gives it His thumbs up. He knows our future; in fact, it was scripted before we were ever born.

Isn't amazing that God even knew our future before the beginning of time!

Believe it or not the Bible is also on the cutting edge of today's society. It has a fresh perspective on our world and the events we see everyday in the news.

The Bible tells us that there would be an 'end time,' a period in history unlike any other. It will be a time of:

  • terrorism
  • wars
  • famine
  • plague
  • earthquakes
  • natural disasters
  • disease
  • violence
  • and much more

This sounds like an awful time in which to live. Yet, when we analyze the state of the world today, we may begin to recognize that this could be the world in which we live.

So can these issues and other critical issues we face everyday really be found in the pages of God's Holy Word?

The answer is yes!

Unfortunately, things will only get worse before they get better. The terrible events we experience today are only a mere drop in the bucket compared to what's coming in the near future. Remember, I'm not saying this, I'm just telling you what the Bible says. We read in 2 Timothy:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.—2 Timothy 3:1

In fact, the Bible talks about the End Time quite a bit. So it may sound like the Bible is only filled with doom and gloom. This is exactly the opposite of what God's Holy Word is trying to tell us. The Bible is a book filled with hope and joy. It's a book about the Good News.

The End of the World?

The Rapture, The Great Tribulation, And Armageddon!

So before I go any further let me tell you that this world will never end! That's right! This earth will never, and I mean never, come to an end. Period.

How do I know this?

The Bible says over one hundred times this world will go on forever.

God's plan includes setting up an Eternal Kingdom for you and me. This will be a time of peace and happiness. Pain and suffering will be eliminated forever. We will spend all eternity in the holy presence of our Father and his precious Son.

Many times people hear the word Armageddon and think that it means the end of the world. But in fact the Bible does not say this. Yet it does say over 100 times that this earth will never, never come to an end. God did not create this world just to destroy it.

For example in John:

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.—John 10:10

God is a merciful, loving God. For some people this may be hard to believe especially when we hear about some of the awful things coming in the future. The Bible tells us that there will be a time on earth like never before. Filled with violence, judgment, destruction, and horrible events. This period of time is referred to as the Tribulation or Great Tribulation.

We read in Matthew 24:21, during this time there...

...shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.—Matthew 24:21

So what does this have to do with God's mercy and love?

Everything.

God is all knowing, so it not a coincidence that He knows the future. It could have been His secret for all eternity; He didn't have to tell us what's going to happen. Yet, His great love compelled Him to reveal detail after detail of what's coming. It's a clear, unmistakable warning to His children.

God has a plan, a way for us to escape this horrible time on earth. This event is usually referred to as the Rapture.

As believers, we have no reason to fear, and we can share hope we have for our future by telling our friends and family about God's plan.

So what is God telling us by detailing the awful events of the future? He's telling us to watch out because what's written in the Bible will happen like clockwork. He doesn't want us to ever suffer, not even for an instant. God truly loves us and even cares about the little details of our daily life.

Yes, God truly loves you! The Bible says that God's love always remains the same. He doesn't love you more one minute and less the next. His love is perfect. And because God loves you, He wants you to experience peace, happiness, and an abundant life right now!

The Book of Revelation!

The Bible says that there will be a horrible time in history worse then anything we could imagine. As you may already know, this is pictured vividly in the Book of Revelation.

Many people believe that the Book of Revelation is just too difficult to understand. Yet, it can be understood, and our future can be known by reading it. This is not the only book of the Bible that talks about the future, though, it is the most comprehensive.

In fact, you can find prophecy in nearly every book of the Bible.

Amazingly, prophecies from these books and the Book of Revelation are for the world in which we live today. How do I know this? Prophecies from the Bible are being fulfilled at an alarming rate, right before our very eyes.

The Bible predicts the events of the world in which we live. The Bible is telling us that we may very well be the Final Generation to be alive before the return of Jesus Christ!

Terrorism is one example of a Final Generation sign.

The Bible predicts that in the last days there will be violence and terrorism. This is actually one of the very last signs predicted before the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! All the Final Generation signs that must happen before He returns to earth have already been fulfilled or are in the process of being fulfilled.

The Bible is always so accurate. Jesus prophesied that there would be violence throughout the world in the end times. Isn't this the world in which we live?

People many times are afraid of what might happen, but the Bible says that you have no reason to fear.

As explained so eloquently in 2nd Timothy:

God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.—2nd Timothy 1:7

Though there are terrible things happening around the world we don't have to ever be afraid. When we hear about terrorism, cyber-attacks, wars, earthquakes, disease, crime, natural disasters, and all others, we can still smile. Why?

Here's why as explained by Jesus himself in Luke:

So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.—Luke 21:31

When we see all these things we know the return of Jesus Christ is near! But how near? And is it even possible to know how close we are to this monumental event? Does the Bible give us clues?

Of course, the answer is yes.

How close are we? We'll be continuing to explore this and many exciting Bible Prophecy topics in future issues of Living In Epic Times.
